I’ve been in charge of healthtech new business development since 2017 after working in sales at Nippon Zoki Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Graduated from ICU, MBA from Keio University, and currently enrolled in a doctoral program in public health.
Drug Development for Aging-Related Diseases
Japan has become the world’s first super-aging society, and the gap between average life expectancy and healthy life expectancy has become an issue. Our project will create economic and social impact by developing a pipeline of seeds for diseases associated with aging and delivering therapeutic agents, including a vaccine for Alzheimer’s disease, to patients worldwide.
Influenced by my grandfather and father, who runs a pharmaceutical company, I had aspirations from childhood to become an entrepreneur who could contribute to society in the field of healthcare. When I visited the U.S. with the desire to work globally a few years ago, I heard that Dr. Ryuji Ueno, a respected inventor and entrepreneur, has started to develop a drug to treat dementia, and I decided to join his team.
