Originally from Orange County, California, Philip graduated from UCLA in 2011 (2 bachelor’s degrees) and Kyoto University in 2016 (master’s and doctoral degrees). In the same year, he founded “Gochiso” an Osaka-based startup. He later launched “mamoru” in 2021 and founded the startup “Sustainability Page” in 2023.

Sustainability reporting is complex and inaccessible for SMEs, which hinders stakeholder trust, environmental and social accountability, and business growth. Sustainability Page simplifies the reporting process by using crowdsourced data and AI, enabling SMEs to easily and effectively collect, manage, analyze, and communicate their sustainability efforts. This enhances trust, and promotes transparency and responsible business practices across industries.
I want to connect with like-minded individuals focusing on creating impact, from mentors to potential team members and users. I believe that every business will be an “environmental and social business” in the future, one that considers total value creation including value for the environment and society. I am motivated to work on Sustainability Page to bring that future closer to the present.
