Kyoto Prefecture Government and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Kyoto published on 3 August an English-language brochure “Innovation Capital Kyoto” as part of their concerted effort to demonstrate the global competitive edge as a startup-friendly city.
The brochure casts Kyoto as the innovation capital in a holistic manner, highlighting its tradition and culture with a history of over 1,000 years, wisdom accumulated in about 50 universities, and innovations introduced by Kyoto-based world-renown enterprises.
Phoenixi Co Ltd, a residential incubator for social entrepreneurs, is listed as among the leading startup ecosystem players in Kyoto.
A PDF copy is available for download on the Kyoto Overseas Business Center website, so the publication can be of help with attracting entrepreneurs from overseas using the newly established startup visa system in Kyoto.
